Leh is a city that falls under the Leh district of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Chadar trek is a 9 days expedition. On the first day, when you get entered in Leh, you can explore much more including the ancient culture and rich heritage of this city. You should not miss this chance of exploring the city. Leh’s weather also helps you in acclimatization.
On the second day, you visit Leh Shingra Yokma. You can explore the history of the Chadar trek here to interact with the local people of this region. Here, you get a practice session under the guidance of the trek leader. In which you practice how to walk on thin ice and use the sleeping bag etc. And learn everything that is important to practice for the Chadar trek.
On the third day, you move towards Shingra Koma. You can experience both the beauty of this place and nervousness equally to getting down from the ice glass. In fact, the ice sheet might be broken at places. To avoid weak ice patches, walk-in line, and stay alert at every moment while walking through the ice glass. Somewhere you see the light of the sun coming across the magnificent mountains, that time a white carpet on a frozen river dazzles your eyes.
On the fourth day, you move further towards Tibb caves where you can capture a bird’s eyes view of a beautiful Tsumo Bhao waterfall. Passing through the towering valley when you see a picturesque sight, you get amazed. On the fifth day, you step out for Nerak campsite. Reaching this place, you get enthralled to see a huge frozen Nerak waterfall.
